ശ്രീ നാരായണ എജ്യുക്കേഷണൽ & ചാരിറ്റബിൾ സൊസൈറ്റിയുടെ (SNE&CS) സെക്രട്ടറിയെന്ന നിലയിൽ, നമ്മുടെ പ്രസ്ഥാനത്തിന്റെ ഇരുപത്തഞ്ചു വർഷത്തെ ചരിത്രവും നാൾവഴികളും തിരിഞ്ഞുനോക്കുമ്പോൾ എനിക്ക് അതിയായ അഭിമാനമുണ്ട്. സാമ്പത്തിക ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടുകൾ ഏറെയുണ്ടായിരുന്നെങ്കിലും 1999 ജൂണിൽ എൽ.കെ.ജി, യു.കെ.ജി, ഒന്നാം ക്ലാസ് എന്നിവയോടെയാണ് നാം ഈ സ്കൂൾ ആരംഭിച്ചത്. വേലായുധൻ മാസ്റ്ററായിരുന്നു നമ്മുടെ ആദ്യ പ്രിൻസിപ്പാൾ. ഒട്ടേറെ കടമ്പകൾ കടന്ന് 2003 മെയ് 27-ന് സ്കൂളിന് ഔദ്യോഗികമായി സി.ബി.എസ്.ഇ അഫിലിയേഷൻ നേടിയെടുക്കാൻ നമുക്ക് സാധിച്ചു. ഈ യാത്രയിൽ നമ്മെ സഹായിച്ച എല്ലാവരെയും ഞാൻ ഈ അവസരത്തിൽ നന്ദിയോടെ സ്മരിക്കുന്നു.
നമ്മുടെ ഈ യാത്ര ഒരിക്കലും എളുപ്പമായിരുന്നില്ല. ഹയർ സെക്കൻഡറി വിഭാഗം ആരംഭിക്കുന്നതിനായി പുതിയ കെട്ടിടം പണിയാൻ ഫണ്ടില്ലാതിരുന്ന ഒരു കാലമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അന്ന് എക്സിക്യൂട്ടീവ് അംഗങ്ങൾ വ്യക്തിപരമായി ഒരു കോടിയോളം രൂപ വായ്പയെടുത്താണ് ആ നിർമ്മാണം പൂർത്തിയാക്കിയത്. പിന്നീട് ബോർഡ് അംഗങ്ങൾക്കിടയിലെ ചില അഭിപ്രായവ്യത്യാസങ്ങളെ തുടർന്ന് കോടതി കേസുകളും റിസീവർ ഭരണവും വരെ നേരിടേണ്ടി വന്നു. എന്നാൽ, സ്കൂളിന്റെ ദൈനംദിന പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളെയും നമ്മുടെ കുട്ടികളുടെ ഭാവിയെയും ബാധിക്കാതെ ആ പ്രതിസന്ധികളെല്ലാം ഒറ്റക്കെട്ടായി തരണം ചെയ്യാൻ നമുക്ക് കഴിഞ്ഞു എന്നത് വലിയൊരു നേട്ടമായി ഞാൻ കാണുന്നു.
അക്കാദമിക തലത്തിൽ വലിയ മുന്നേറ്റമാണ് നാം നടത്തിയത്. ആദ്യ ബാച്ച് മുതൽ പത്താം ക്ലാസ്സിൽ 100% വിജയം കരസ്ഥമാക്കാൻ നമ്മുടെ സ്കൂളിന് സാധിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. 2011-12 അധ്യയന വർഷത്തിൽ നാം പ്ലസ് ടു കോഴ്സുകൾ ആരംഭിച്ചു. കുട്ടികളുടെ യാത്രാസൗകര്യത്തിനായി വെറും മൂന്ന് ബസ്സുകളിൽ തുടങ്ങിയ നമുക്ക് ഇന്ന് സ്വന്തമായി പത്ത് ബസ്സുകളുണ്ട്. പാഠ്യേതര വിഷയങ്ങളിലും നാം മികവ് തെളിയിച്ചു; ജൈവകൃഷിയിലെ മികച്ച പങ്കാളിത്തത്തിന് 2015, 2016 വർഷങ്ങളിൽ സ്കൂളിന് കൃഷിവകുപ്പിന്റെ അവാർഡുകൾ ലഭിച്ചു. നമ്മുടെ പൂർവ്വ വിദ്യാർത്ഥിയായ രവീൺ കെ. മനോഹർ ഐ.എ.എസ് റാങ്ക് നേടിയത് എന്റെയും ഈ സ്കൂളിന്റെയും ചരിത്രത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും തിളക്കമുള്ള നിമിഷങ്ങളിലൊന്നാണ്.
സമൂഹത്തോടുള്ള നമ്മുടെ കടമകളും നാം മറന്നിട്ടില്ല. ഇതിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി 2022 മുതൽ 50 ഭിന്നശേഷിക്കാരായ വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾക്ക് ഫീസ് ഈടാക്കാതെ സൗജന്യ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം നൽകാൻ നമുക്ക് സാധിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. അതുപോലെ, പുതിയ ആർട്സ് & സയൻസ് കോളേജിനായി നാം കെട്ടിടം പണിയുകയും ഹൈക്കോടതിയിൽ നിന്ന് അനുകൂല ഉത്തരവ് സമ്പാദിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്; സർക്കാരിന്റെ അന്തിമ അനുമതിക്കായി നമ്മൾ ഇപ്പോൾ കാത്തിരിക്കുകയാണ്. സ്കൂളിനെ ഇന്റർനാഷണൽ നിലവാരത്തിലേക്ക് ഉയർത്തുക, ഡിജിറ്റൽ ക്ലാസ് മുറികൾ, സ്വിമ്മിംഗ് പൂൾ, ഹോസ്റ്റലുകൾ, ഒരു സാന്ത്വന പരിചരണ കേന്ദ്രം, എഞ്ചിനീയറിംഗ് കോളേജ്, ബി.എഡ്, ടി.ടി.സി എന്നിവ ഭാവിയിൽ ആരംഭിക്കുക എന്നതാണ് ഈ പ്രസ്ഥാനത്തിലൂടെ നാം ലക്ഷ്യമിടുന്നത്. ഇതിനെല്ലാം നിങ്ങളുടെ എല്ലാവരുടെയും പ്രാർത്ഥനയും സഹകരണവും തുടർന്നും ഉണ്ടാകണം. സ്നേഹത്തോടെ, ജി. വിൻസെന്റ് സെക്രട്ടറി, SNE&CS
